Notes
These delightful pieces are great fun to play and not too difficult….
Beware that the parts for the F instruments are actually written as transposed versions (like a clarinet, horn or trumpet part), so should be played as if you were playing a C instrument. If you are unsure, check with the sole, which is written ‘at pitch’.
The Universal Sparrow can be played on a variety of instruments, including Flute, clarinet, bassoon viola and cello. For recorders it is specified for soprano, descant and treble, although we have chosen to use treble, tenor and bass, which puts the content closer to the pitch of the other instrumental version.
