Music from the Terpsichore...
TOver the next few years, we will gradually be posting the entire contents of the Terpsichore…. Michael Praetorius’, great work. He is not really the composer, however only the editor/publisher.
Most of the book is made up of French dances collected by both Praetorius himself and his assistant Caroubel…. these two Bransles were collected by Caroubel and are the first two items of the third set.
This arrangement is for double quintet using both 4′ and 8′ instruments, so something for everyone to play and it is relatively easy too!
- Double Quintet
- Composer: F Caroubel
- Period: Renaissance.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Instruments:
- Descant
- Treble
- Tenor
- Bass
- Great Bass
- Contra
Notes
